Immigrant Student Success: Models and Tools for K-12 and Adult Educators is a free online workshop on July 11 and 12, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT (five hours total) to help educators encourage the progress of their immigrant and refugee students through interactive webinars, group activities and live exercises with nine experts. This is the sixth annual online workshop for teachers hosted by The Immigrant Learning Center’s Public Education Institute and Teach Immigration, and it will explore:

  • The role of the teacher as ally for immigrant and refugee students
  • How to combat bias and bullying
  • Integrating immigration into the curriculum
  • The latest immigration data…and much more
