Starting Today: Health Literacy in the ABE Classroom

Starting today, please join us in the Health Literacy group for our 4-part discussion of Health Literacy in ABE and ESOL.

The first part starts today. It is an introduction to how health literacy fits into adult education. We will talk about what health literacy means, why it’s important for our learners, and how to get started incorporating it into your programming.

This facilitated discussion series is for anyone involved in teaching or administering an adult education program. You don't have to have any experience with health literacy. That’s why we are introducing it!

Please join the Health Literacy group for the discussion series. Just go to the Groups tab in the LINCS Community menu bar, scroll down to Health Literacy, and click on Join. The discussion thread is located here. If you prefer, after the event, you may leave the group.

We hope you enjoy this event and learn from it!

Best regards,

Julie McKinney, guest moderator; Kate Singleton, guest speaker; and the LINCS Community Team
