Unpacking Health & Wellness Resources in the Time of COVID-19 to Promote Healthy Outcomes for Learners and their Families

Join the Disabilities and Equitable Outcomes Community of Practice  on Thursday, July 16th, when we will be hosting leaders from the Florida Literacy Coalition to discuss resources for ensuring equitable access to COVID-19 health literacy resources.  Come and share your questions and experiences.  The discussion will begin here at 9AM EST.  This activity is for all adult education practitioners, program administrators, and professional developers. 

 

About the Guest Participants

Greg Smith has served as the Executive Director of the Florida Literacy Coalition since 2002. He holds a master’s degree in Adult and Continuing Education from Virginia Tech and currently serves on the Adult Education Cabinet of the Florida Department of Education, ProLiteracy America’s Public Policy Committee and as Chair of the Council of State Organizations. 

Heather Surrency is the Health & Financial Literacy Coordinator with the Florida Literacy Coalition and a public health professional with more than 15 years of experience in public health promotion and education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina.

How to participate?  Please join the discussion by first joining the LINCS Disabilities and Equitable Outcomes Community  of Practice. Anyone can visit the LINCS Community, but only members can contribute to the online discussion.
