LINCS Community Events for the Weeks of 4/11/2022 and 4/18/2022

*There will be no live Community events during the week of April 11 as the LINCS team will be participating in the 2022 COABE National Conference in Seattle, WA. We look forward to meeting Community members who are attending COABE in person during various LINCS sessions. Don't forget to stop by and see us at the exhibit hall, Booth 509! We look forward to resuming Community events during the week of April 18.

Hosted Discussion: Strategies for Developing Accessible Documents and Presentations

Description: Join the Disabilities and Equitable Outcomes Group for a conversation on strategies for developing accessible documents and presentations. You’ll have the opportunity to view a pre-recorded webinar and then learn more from Remy Alexander, Communications Manager for Justice in Aging at the National Center on Law and Elder Rights, and Eric Ascher, Communications Associate with RespectAbility, who will answer questions and provide additional guidance on simple ways to make your classroom materials accessible for all learners.

Description: Join us as we explore new pre-apprenticeship resources on LINCS and talk with a national Pre-apprenticeship Challenge winner about lessons learned while developing and implementing pre-apprenticeship programming.

Description: Practitioners are seeking information on remote practices that work. Join Dr. Johan Uvin and Jen Vanek to learn about recent research from World Education, Inc., and others on using digital modalities to reach students. Examples of promising practices for remote ESOL programs will be shared.
