The ADVANCE IET project has just published the fourth brief in its IET Strategies in Action series, which is intended to provide adult educators with insight into how some IET programs have successfully run their IET programs in different settings, for different populations.
- Promising Practices for Regionally Responsive Integrated Education and Training Programs – This publication highlights how state adult education agencies and local IET program providers have responded to the specific demographic and labor market needs of the region, as well as the interests of residents and IET learners.
IET programs can accelerate learning and support adult learners as they advance along their career pathways, transitioning to postsecondary education and obtaining good jobs. This brief illustrates four strategies to respond to local needs: building regional adult education partnerships, promoting regional IET programs, establishing entrepreneurship IET programs, and creating individualized IET programs.
