2017 Health Care Education Conference (HCEA) Conference Call for Abstracts
HCEA is excited to announce the 2017 conference “Reaching New Heights in Patient Powered Care”, being held in Salt Lake City, UT, September 6 – 8, 2017. We encourage you to present at the 2017 conference to an audience of patient educators, staff educators and other professional peers, gain exposure to your work and advance your career!
Important Dates:
February 16, 2017: Online Abstract Submission Deadline
March 1, 2017: Abstract Acceptance email notification
Conference Theme:
The central theme of the 2017 HCEA conference focuses on how educators can empower patients and families while they navigate through the ever-changing health care environment. The conference is organized around three key aspects:
- Using Technology to Engage Patients and Improve Outcomes - Share your innovative solutions for meeting the educational needs of patients and staff using a variety of technology tools.
- Putting Patient Powered Care into Practice – Share your successes and lessons learned as your organization moves toward a more patient-centered health delivery system.
Getting from Here to There: Shifting the Vision for Patient Education – Share how your organization is moving the bar with regard to health literacy and patient education. What innovative programs have you instituted at your organization that have brought patient education to the forefront?
