Financial Literacy Dialogue

TODAY, December 14th, at 2:00pm (EST) join the Financial Literacy group for a webinar and guided exploration of Consumer.gov/  Consumidor.gov materials and resources. Cristina Miranda, Consumer Education Specialist, Division of Consumer and Business Education at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC), will walk participants through a variety of Consumer.gov resources—available in English and Spanish—that are helpful for adult learners. Resource topics include credit and debt management, identity theft, avoiding scams, budgeting, opening a bank account, shopping for prepaid cards, and managing money.

The resources contain concise and practical consumer information, are appropriate for audiences with varying degrees of English fluency, and are available in Spanish and free to use. They can also be ordered in bulk for free to distribute in classrooms and at community events at www.bulkorder.ftc.gov (English or Spanish).

The webinar will be followed by an online discussion in the Financial Literacy group.

No pre-registration is required to attend the webinar.
