Moderator Position Open for Minority Serving Community Colleges & Equity Minded Affiliates Microgroup

The LINCS Minority Serving Community Colleges and Affiliates micro-group is looking for a moderator to support our growing community of minority serving community college partners. The moderator will serve a critical role in ensuring we support our members and provide rich and engaging discussions and learning opportunities. The moderator will mainly lead the Minority Serving Community Colleges and Affiliates microgroup, as well as assist with six associated private groups for different categories of minority serving community colleges (Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving, Hispanic Serving, Predominantly Black, Historically Black Colleges, Tribal Colleges, and Nontribal Native American Serving). Candidates should have expertise in online moderation/facilitation and content knowledge in minority serving institutions (particularly community colleges), students of color, career and technical education, developmental education, and equity issues. Moderators should also have some knowledge of adult education and learning and familiarity with LINCS. Applications should be completed online by October 1, 2016, no later than 5pm EST. After submitting your application, please send CV or resume via email with the subject line “MSCC Community Moderator” after submission of the application to erin.berg@ed.gov. Moderation duties will begin in October and requires 7-10 hours per week of activity. An hourly honorarium will be provided.
