New Dates for Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE/ESOL Classroom Online Course

World Education's online course, Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE/ESOL Classroom is now being offered from October 30-December 19, 2013. This course will be facilitated by Cynthia Zafft.

"Career awareness is an essential life skill that allows people to become more self-reliant and able to cope with rapidly changing labor markets as well as maintain a healthy balance between work and life roles. By developing career awareness, students can play an active role in planning their careers." From the Integrating Career Awareness Into the ABE & ESOL Classroom Curriculum Guide

Integrating Career Awareness into the ABE & ESOL Classroom is an online course for teachers and counselors looking for ways to help their adult students gain skills that can help them attain and succeed at jobs that pay family-sustaining wages. Using the Curriculum Guide, participants will explore lessons to help their students set career goals and secure the educational services they need to pursue their goals. The Guide can be downloaded from the National College Transition Network (NCTN) and is freely available for use beyond the online course.
