The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) will hold this year’s Families Learning Summit on October 17-19, 2016, in Detroit, Michigan. But if you can’t be there in person, you’ll be pleased to know that the Urban Libraries Council (ULC) will webcast a free panel session – “Libraries + Schools + Communities = Powerful Programming for Family Learning" -- from 11:00-12:15 p.m. EDT on Monday, October 17, 2016.
The session, sponsored by Better World Books, will build upon concepts highlighted in ULC and NCFL’s recently published Leadership Brief: Libraries Supporting Family Learning and showcase how libraries, schools, and community-based organizations collaborate to help families learn together and engage with their communities.
