Resource: Time for the U.S. to Reskill? What the Survey of Adult Skills Says

The latest publication from the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) is a new report, Time for the U.S. to Reskill? What the Survey of Adult Skills Says, which documents the perilously low literacy rates of U.S. adults. The OECD recommends that learning options be opened up, including by developing basic skills in practical contexts. As a research-based example, the report cited our seminal work on curriculum integration. The NRCCTE provided the only secondary-level research-based intervention cited in the report. You can read or download the complete publication online at OECD's website.

Does anyone know of a link where to download a copy of the complete report without having to pay for it or be subscrber/member?  I was able to select the chapters to "read online" and print out individual chapters that way, but it was cumbersome to do, and the printed copy had chopped up text with half-pages blank in between.  It was not easy to read.

Hi Phil - You can download a copy of the full OECD U.S. Skills Report from http://piaacgateway.com/. This is the location where all the PIAAC reports, resources, tools, and events are housed.

Here is the link directly to the report Donna mentioned in her bulletin - Time for the U.S. to Reskill? What the Survey of Adult Skills Sayshttp://skills.oecd.org/Survey_of_Adult_Skills_US.pdf

Hope this helps!
