Hello all!
On Tuesday, July 11th at 2:00 p.m. EST, join the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions for a Twitter Chat on “Sunshine and Success: Summer Bridge Programming at MSIs." Summer Bridge programs prepare students with a provisional admission to a university in an effort to justify why they have the skills and abilities to do well at a specific institution. Such programs include workshops on specific course topics, financial literacy, and time management skills that help incoming students adapt to their new college environment. However, many schools differ in how they recruit participants, administer, and measure the effectiveness of their programs. This Twitter Chat will highlight the strides that MSIs have made, what types of issues are arising in the improvement of these programs, and insights that MSIs have found from the success of their programs.
