U.S. Department of Defense to host the National Resource Directory of Rehabilition Resources for Military Personnel and Veterans

The National Resource Directory (NRD) provides Wounded Warriors, Service Members, Veterans, and their support systems access to more than 17,500 federal, state and local services and resources to support recovery, rehabilitation, and community integration.  The NRD is being relocated to a Department of Defense hosting environment with the intent of improving the site’s capabilities for users in the future.

The NRD represents one of the largest online collections of government and non-government resources specifically designed for service members, veterans, families and military caregivers, with an emphasis on resources for wounded and injured service members. With a collection of over 17,000 resources, the NRD provides information on topics including benefits and compensation, education and training, family and military caregiver support, health, homeless assistance, and housing.  The NRD has been migrated from the joint Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs’ eBenefits Web portal to a Department of Defense hosting environment. As a result of this migration, there will be a brief service interruption for the NRD.

A formal announcement will be made when a service resumption date is established. The NRD will be available at www.nrd.gov in the future.  You can also follow the NRD on Facebook and Twitter for ongoing updates.
