Workforce GPS: WIOA Peer Learning Groups

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Peer Learning Groups (PLGs) are collaborative learning communities that involve individuals working together in groups to discuss key WIOA implementation concepts, share promising practices and find solutions to challenges. PLGs are organized by topic, reflective of areas that are understood to be major challenges for system practitioners including:

  • Customer Centered Design
  • Integrated Service Delivery: Operations
  • Integrated Service Delivery: Programs
  • Strategic Boards
  • Regionalism
  • Youth Services

Each PLG will be led by a trained Subject Matter Expert (SME) and facilitator and will highlight one or two expert practitioners. Expert practitioners will have an opportunity to share their promising practice. However, the majority of the calls will be devoted to a facilitated peer-to-peer discussion and QA.

Calls will begin in May 2016 and occur approximately once a month.  Participants will be notified of specific dates and times after registering.
