The Bureau of Justice Assistance’s Second Chance Act included a provision for a major study of correctional education. Stemming from that, the RAND Corporation Meta Analysis of Correctional Education was completed last year. The RAND study concluded that we have good evidence that correctional education reduces recidivism and supports post release employment success.
