The Employment Technology Fund Launch

Recently, the 2017 Close It Summit was held in Chicago.  One of the sessions, The Employment Technology Fund Launch: An Introduction And Discussion, highlighted an investment in high impact, scalable technology solutions that help individuals find a path to employment and improve their earnings potential. The technology solutions span learning and training, mentoring and support, career assessment and job search, matching and placement.

Village Capital and Lumina Foundation Program and Funding for Workforce Readiness Ed Tech

Village Capital (VC) and Lumina Foundation are looking for start-ups involved with workforce readiness for a program aiming to connect them with advisory boards to validate (or not) their  work on improving participant outcomes.  VC and Lumina will run business development workshops for participants, and two start-ups will be peer selected for an initial $75K investment in their product ideas.
