Newsela Gets Even Better

If you're not already a fan of Newsela for the daily updated news articles rewritten at 5 different reading levels, now they're giving the same treatment to important historical texts.  Check out the announcement at:

Suppose your students could choose a news article to read -- and also choose the level of reading of difficulty. Newsela allows students to do that, and for the basic services, for free. (Teachers who want to get access to the management information system pay $18 per student per year.) The levels are determined by lexiles, now a widely used way to level reading materials in K-12 education.
