Help for Adults with ADHD

Hi group members,

I just watched a short segment from an ABC news program where an adult woman with ADHD discusses her life challenges and the lessons she has learned.  It includes such advice as establishing and keeping a routine, using time management skills, planning ahead, eating a healthy diet, and using a workout program.

ADHD: Symptoms, Diagnosis, and Incidence

Hi group members,
I post basic information about disability areas for those who are interested.  If there are any specific disability areas that I have not posted on as yet, feel free to email me and make the suggestion.

Symptoms of ADHD include a persistent inability to focus, being easily distracted, and being hyperactive.  Students who have been diagnosed with ADHD often have to keep moving.  That could include moving in their seats, tapping their feet, moving around the room, interrupting conversations, or any other type of movement.

Children Taking Medications for ADHD

Hi group users,

I am always interested in disability incidence and prevalence figures.  As you watch the figures increase, you can get an idea of how that would change the percentage of students with disabilities that could enter our adult education classes.
