I recently came across two free courses on the Coursera website that may be of interest to you. 

Foundations for Teaching for Learning  -  https://www.coursera.org/course/teach3:  This course runs from January 5, 2015 through February 25, 2015 and is a basic course on student learning, designed for individuals who teach but have no formal teacher education.

Comments on Infrastructure and Productivity Sections of NETP Report

The NETP Report identified important infrastructure and productivity components, both short-term and long-term.  The discussions in the previous days have already touched on many most of the issues.  We appear to agree that there needs to be a free portal for use 24/7, better broadband, social networking with peer and professional interactions, access to MOOCs as well high quality commercial software, on-line training material for teachers/tutors, E-Portfolios, and so on.    

E-learning now expected of entry-level employers in some sectors in Canada

AlphaPlus, in Canada, has recently published a short digital technologies e-bulletin thatfocuses on competency requirements in each of the goal paths and takes a look at the ever-increasing reach of e-learning in workplaces and in education.”

Research in Ontario suggests that e-learning is now expected in some industries.
