Welcome/Re-Welcome to the LINCS Program Management Group

Good afternoon,

I would like to re-welcome you to the LINCS Program Management Group!  I am the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for this group.  You can find out more about me on my profile at https://community.lincs.ed.gov/user/1500/about.  I really look forward to continuing our work together in this group.

Welcome to our updated Science Community of Practice

Friends,

As announced, we have updated the LINCS Communities of Practice and today we welcome the members of the Health Literacy Group to the Science Community. While Health Literacy will remain a micro-group where we will discuss best-practices and research as it relates to Health Literacy, we are including these members into our overarching Science Group. This week, I'd like to hear from you. Share your thoughts about the topics would you like to focus on over the next few months in our CoP.

What would you like from the Science LINCS Discussion this year?

Dear Friends,

Today, I am pleased to begin my journey as the facilitator for the LINCS CoP. As an adult educator, program administrator, and instructional desinger, I bring 20 years of experience to our discussions and look forward to interacting with everyone. My goal is to continue the dynamic conversations and bring forward high interest topics each week. However, to begin, I'd like to hear from you.

Please Introduce Yourself!

As a new, “veteran,” or returning member of this growing and increasingly vibrant community, please introduce yourself to the rest of us! Use the “+ Add new comment” button below to open  the space to enter your comments. Don’t forget to click on “Post” when you are done. If you want to preview your message before posting, click on “Preview.”

In your introduction, include aspects of yourself that will help you connect with others of like mind, experiences, and interests as we continue to interact on behalf of the adults whom we serve!

Welcome and Introductions to Online Resource Microgroup

Welcome aboard, everyone! This week marks the start of our work together in what is expected to be about 25 weeks of rewarding experiences. We have two primary goals this week:

Welcome new members/Introductions

Hello,

We had 20+ new members join our group during the month of December.  I would like to welcome all new members and invite them to click on the "Comment" button below and introduce themselves.

Thank you,

Rochelle Kenyon, Subject Matter Expert

Introductions of New Group Users

Hi to all,

I noticed some new responders during the recent group discussion. To those and to all others who have not introduced themselves since we opened this new Community of Practice almost one year ago in September 2012, please respond to this discussion strand by introducing yourself.  Tell us what your objectives/interests were in joining our specific group.

Rochelle Kenyon, Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Introduce Yourself

Greetings, everyone!

I'm glad to see so many of us have found our way to this new format for sharing!

One thing that I always wanted to know that wasn't easy to find out in the discussion list format was what the interests were of the people on the list.  I'm suggesting that new members, and you are all new at this point, tell us just a few things about themselves, so that we can start building community.  What I would like to know is:

--Where are you from?

--What is your job title and what are your responsibilities in your job?
