Teaching Science to Adult Learners

I direct the "TV411 What's Cooking?" project, an online video and web lessons series that combines basic science concepts with healthful recipes.  “TV411 What’s Cooking?”, along with over a hundred other literacy and numeracy videos and lessons, are available on the TV411.org.  I’m curious about how adult educators are integrating science into their pre-GED/GED curriculum.  What resources do teachers use?  How do teachers prepare when tackling science subjects in the classroom? What kind of support might lead to more science content in the classroom?
