Susan and group members, I recently saw a headline that said that there will be new ESOL standards coming out which will be aligned with the WIOA. Does anyone have any information on this?
Thanks,
Paul

Hello Paul and group members - The Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) is sponsoring a project to identify English language proficiency (ELP) standards for adult education. The standards are based on the ELPA21 standards, which several states' K-12 systems use. The standards correspond with college and career readiness standards to support adult English language learners' academic language development and participation in content-area activities. OCTAE expects the standards will be released by October 2016.
