National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration established in 2015 by the U.S. Department of Labor that brings together leading business, labor, education, and other critical partners to showcase the impact apprenticeship programs have on addressing the U.S. skills gap and unleashing the American workforce.
Who Should Participate?
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is for everyone – from employers to educators to other critical partners that support and complement the path to apprenticeship. NAW is an annual opportunity to put the spotlight on these apprenticeship champions that are creating the future of work.
Why Participate?
NAW gives employers the opportunity to showcase their programs, facilities, and apprentices, and career seekers the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of apprenticeship and the programs available in their communities.

In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, Jobs for the Future has released a brief exploring how changes over the last few years in Registered Apprenticeships (RAs) have led to a shift toward shorter programs, and how establishing relationships between RA programs could build some of the benefits of long-term apprenticeships into a more modularized system.
