Is this webinar different than the one offered last week "An Approach that Works: Problem–Based Learning"?

Thanks ,

Elaine

This Monday's session (11/8) is on Project-Based Learning. And, yes, it is different from Problem-Based Learning for which a session was hosted on Oct. 29. Teaching Skills that Matter is a comprehensive resource with tools available in the LINCS repository. Problem- and Project-Based Learning are two approaches to instruction for TSTM.

Problem-based learning: Uses complex, real-world problems as the vehicle for learners to explore new concepts and language.

Project-based learning: Uses an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. (It usually results in a "product".)

Thank you very much for the question! Please join us Monday (11/8, 3-4 p.m. ET), along with your friends and colleagues to hear more about Project-Based Learning and examples of how it works.
