I came across this posting for an Administrative Assistant for the Prisoner Reentry Institute, A member of the Research Consortium of John Jay College in New York.    The position link is: http://johnjayresearch.org/pri/category/careers/.  The site description states that The Prisoner Reentry Institute is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to its operations. Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) is looking for a new principal at it's Brownwood facility. 

 

TJJD's mission is to lead the nation in education success and recidivism reduction in juvenile justice.   TJJD is currently searching for a motivated school principal with excellent judgment for the Brownwood facility.  This position offers the opportunity for a dedicated leader to help shape the culture and lead to further academic improvements at a school for adjudicated youth. The principal is responsible for instructional leadership, academic outcomes, school climate, and working closely with secure care staff to maximize instructional time.

Maya Angelou Young Adult Learning Center looking for Director:
The Maya Angelou Young Adult Learning Center (YALC), located in Washington, DC, is a community-based charter school designed to serve students between the ages of 17-24, many of whom were at one time under the supervision of the District’s Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services. This is a great opportunity for a leader looking to join the See Forever/Maya Angelou network and help the YALC expand its academic and job training programming. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Holds or eligible to hold a valid Florida Professional Educator

Certificate with appropriate certification in Biology, Chemistry, Physics,

Earth-Space Science or General Science or is eligible to hold a valid

Florida Educator Temporary Certificate in any of the above content areas.

2. Sixty (60) hours of ESOL training required or willingness to complete

training by the end of the 1st year of employment.

3. Experience working in a DJJ setting preferred.

The Missouri Department of Corrections has a classified full-time Librarian I/II position open at the Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri, Clinton County.  This position requires comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, procedures, and techniques of library science. The librarian plans, directs library services and all related operations of library programs.
