Have you had an opportunity to look at the polar science activity, "Using Polar Sciences in Adult Basic Education"? https://community.lincs.ed.gov/discussion/using-polar-sciences-adult-basic-education-programs 
 
We have jumped right in to carbon dioxide, climate change, extreme weather, sea ice, effects of climate on Arctic plants/animals, and jobs in polar regions. Our three participating research scientists (all oceanographers) have answered questions in a way that is certainly understandable, and Lynn Reed (the Einstein Education Fellow at Office of Polar Programs, National Science Foundation) has already suggested some great resources.

Thank you for the reminder to the community about this learning activity. Great opportunity to integrate content from a such a timely topic. With our snow today in KS, we're having our own polar experience!
