Hello All:
I'm working on a project and thought this forum might be a great resource and place to start. Here are my questions:
Are there EL/Civics content standards out there? Do any states have them? Are they separate or integrated into other standards documents? I know some states, like Maryland, have them as part of their other standards.
Thank you so much for any information you can provide.

Yes there are content standards for ESL for the state of Maryland. You can get them on-line and down load them.
Here are the ESL Content Standards from PA, division of adult education

HI Susan,
In searching for EL Civics content standards for a integrated curriculum we're planning, the only ones I've come across are from CASAS. They are are quite extensive. The link is:

If you find any other content standards specific to EL Civics, please let me know.

Thanks, Rhea. We weren't sure what we'd find specific to civics content. Susan
