Special Discussion and Webinar - Employability Skills Framework, beginning December 1, 2014

Hi all,

I want to let you know about a special discussion that will take place in the coming week starting on December 1 about the Employability Skills Framework. In addition, a webinar will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Featured speakers will present strategies for incorporating employability skills into the adult basic education classroom and explore connections between the Employability Skills Framework and the ABE College and Career Readiness Standards. Please register here.

The pre-webinar discussion will begin on Monday, December 1 and will be held in the College and Career Standards group. If you are not already a member of this group, please join it in order to participate in the discussion. The discussion will also be cross-posted to the Assessment and Career Pathways groups.

Week of December 1 – Special Discussion:  Participate in a discussion about why employability skills matter for adult learners. Share examples of how you are teaching employability skills and leave your questions for the webinar speakers to address on December 3. The discussion will continue following the webinar.
