2013 HCEA Conference: Empowerment through Education: Enhancing Learning to Improve Outcomes

Are you responsible for the creation or maintenance of patient education materials? Do you work with staff to provide the proper tools needed to teach patient and families? Do you have a passion for teaching? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should consider joining us at the 2013 HCEA Conference in Cincinnati, OH on October 24 – 26, 2013.

We are also offering a preconference workshop, “Cooking Up Patient Education Materials – A Recipe for Success”. This interactive session is designed to teach you:
- The basics of health literacy
- Writing techniques
- Design and layout
- Evaluation methods for materials
Participants will write and design a patient education handout during the course of this workshop (a separate registration fee is required).
