31 Days of National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). NDEAM aims to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America's workers with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy has a poster, public awareness press and social media suggestions, and suggested activities to make it easy to promote disability employment and celebrate this year’s theme: America’s Workforce: Empowering All. Looking for ideas? Check out the 31 Days of NDEAM slideshow. Stay connected with @RSA-NCRTM, our twitter account, as we celebrate NDEAM with a posting to the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) blog and feature resources from the RSA-funded technical assistance centers.

Follow along and learn how to make your program more inclusive of learners with disabilities.  Share your strategies and successes for working with learners to seek, find, and maintain employment!
