Hello colleagues, I just received an email message from the Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE), informing me that the COABE journal is now available through free access. Here is the first paragraph from the editors' letter to readers in the just-published summer issue.
"We are pleased to present the summer issue of the Journal of Research and Practice for Adult Literacy, Secondary, and Basic Education
. If you have not already realized that the journal is now open access, we invite you to look online at both the present (at https://www.coabe.org/current-issue/
) and past issues online (at https://www.coabe.org/past-issues/
) on the COABE website. We are very excited about the possibilities that this wider dissemination offer. We hope that, as a result, you will engage more often, broadly, and deeply with the journal."
Colleagues, you'll find some really interesting articles in the summer issue including a study of teaching writing to English learners, various articles related to the use of technology in adult education, and a case study of an English learner in prison who earned his GED® and much moire.
Check it out! It would be great to discuss any or all of these articles in our LINCS community!
Cheers, Susan Finn Miller
