Hello colleagues, I've been at COABE this week, and I attended a great workshop on contextualized instruction in ESL. I'll share a bit more about the session in my next message.
We know that when we contextualize language instruction around meaningful content this is highly motivating for adult learners. I'm curious what topics or themes are of interest to the adult English learners you've worked with. What materials are you using and at what levels? If you are using materials online, please share the link. What activities do you use to support language development and higher order thinking?
