DACA Educational Requirements and Documentation

My name is Ashley Wysong and I am an intern at the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition(MIRA) and English for New Bostonians (ENB).

I am putting together a fact sheet for ESOL/ABE/WD providers about how they can help support DACA applicants, who are current students, to put together their supporting documents in order to fulfill the "in school" educational requirements.

I have reviewed, and used, the USCIS website, which is helpful, but was wondering if you or anyone else that you know of has put together any sort of suggestions or template on how an organization would provide documentation for DACA. More specifically:

  • If you have provided documentation for a student applying for DACA before in order for them to meet the educational requirements, what documentation have you provided?
    • How have you shown your funding(full state/fed funded, partial state/fed funded, or not funded by state/fed)
    • How have you demonstrated program effectiveness?
    • How have you shown clear outcomes related to post-secondary education, job training and/or employment?
    • How have you shown that they are enrolled in your program?

Thanks so much for any information or leads. Please e-mail me at <awysong@miracoalition.org>.
