Design thinking, backward design, or project based learning?

Hi all,

Last week we discussed backward design and this week, I'd like to discuss project based learning. There is a conversation about best-practices and project based learning in the English Language Acquisition community. I'd like to pull these ideas together. There is so much information about what successful teaching may include that I often wonder where we begin. I believe we aren't selecting one method over the other, but pulling the research based strategies together to develop a comprehensive plan for designing, implementing, and evaluating the teaching and learning process.

Check out this resource on project based learning and think about how to use backward design to create a project based learning experience for your students. What does that look like? How can we bring these ideas together?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.
