Do you have English learners in your high school equivalency class?

Hello colleagues, An important goal for many immigrants and refugees who come to the US is to get a high school diploma. Some people did not have the opportunity in the past to do so. Of course, most need to learn English first. Do you have English learners in your high school equivalency class? If so, what do you see as the specific needs these learners bring? How do you support them to  make progress toward their goals?

Many adult education program include English learners in their regular high school equivalency classes, so the students study along with those who grew up speaking English. If your program has a high school equivalency class designed exclusively for English learners, please tell us about it. Why did you start a class like this?
