Family Literacy Through Technology

I have been teaching my adult students' in their homes with pumarosa and my other materials, and I also show STARFALL.COM to the parents of children in elementary school (STARFALL is a phonetic based learn-to-read program).
Some of the parents use sites such as DuoLingo also.
In this way an atmosphere of Family Literacy is easily created which is very benefiial to everyone in the family. Mothers feel more a part of their children's education and the kids learn to share the computer with their parents!!!
Soon I will make some presentations to the school boards, etc.
So in the meantime....I am interested in making a list of all the sites that would fit in with a Family Literacy approach. And also all sites that provide English instrution or lessons for other areas, such as jobs and careers and practical life situtations, such as preparing for the driver's license.

Here are a few resources that I hope will be helpful:

This website http://literacy.kent.edu/familyliteracy/ has a sections on "Parents and Caregivers" and "Working with Families". I apologize for any dead links. It's been a while since we have had a chance to update the site.

There is an online book (unfortunately no longer available in print) titled Big Dreams and is for parents. It gives them suggestions for reading to their children and is written in very simle language https://lincs.ed.gov/publications/pdf/big_dreams.pdf

On this page https://lincs.ed.gov/resource-collection/parents there are links for a series of online books (also no longer in print) called Shining Stars. These also have simple language and suggestions and activities for parents to do when reading to their children.
