Mobile Health Design (on-line)

This 6-week online course examines the impact and potential of mobile devices for health at a national and global level. Using design methodologies, participants will conceptualize and design health apps that incorporate evidence-based guidelines and capitalize on the unique capabilities of smartphones and tablets.

This one-week Institute is an advanced professional development opportunity for those engaged in health literacy work to improve healthcare quality as well as those working in educational and community settings.  Participants work on a health literacy project of their choice resulting in a final product that is informed by research and reflective of best practice.

 

Digital Strategies for Health Communication

This course covers how to develop and implement a digital strategy to drive an organization’s online presence, including the processes for selecting, using, and evaluating technologies for health communication. This one-week Institute uses case studies from organizations such as Consumer Reports and ABC Health News to illustrate successful strategies.
