I am an adult learner who pursued my degrees remotely and independently. I am very familiar with the struggles of combining work, family, career and education. Finding the right solution for an education is not the same for every learner. What works for one person, is not a fit for the next. Educators struggle to find the unique and customized fit for each individual. I currently tutor adult learners, and work with foreign adult students. However, I have also served as an elected public official, and school board director for K-12 for 12 years. I also work for a remote educational facility in several capacities, the most recent of which involves faculty evaluation and scheduling.
There is a specific need in our area to help foreign women coordinate services. I have experience with working with many different stakeholders within the community from lawmakers, to educators, to social groups. Linking those who need help with those who give it, is always a challenge but one that must be met in order to facilitate cooperation within the community. I look forward to learning from you and interacting with all of you.
