How can we integrate Strategy Instruction into our online classrooms?

For those who just completed the TEAL Strategy Instruction - Math course, we learned a great deal about the variety of ways to increase student engagement with math content beyond rote procedures. Visual models and hands-on resources were at the top of many of your lists for strategies you'll be taking back to your classrooms. Others were excited to use deeper questioning techniques with students in hopes of getting them to see their own reasoning potential.

What I wonder about is how these types of strategies will play out for those of you who conduct online only classes? What strategies and suggestions do you have for incorporating those tools and resources into a virtual classroom?
