Hello All,
A colleague of mine here in Iowa City has been working diligently to organize a regional symposium addressing issues of our incarcerated population.
The symposium will feature presenters from a wide range of disciplines and service goals in the Iowa community. There will be discussions about prison book group facilitation and library advocacy as well as other meaningful topics. The Iowa Director of the DOC, John Baldwin, will be participating as a featured speaker, as will the University of Iowa Provost for Outreach and Engagement, in addition to other regionally and nationally prominent participants. I am hoping to record some of the presentations as podcasts to post and share. Please take a look at the website below.
