LINCS Resource: Financial Fitness for Life - Parent Guides

Financial Fitness for Life®: Personal Finance Lessons for Grades K-12 - Parent Guides

The complete parent guides for the Financial Fitness for Life® materials are now available through the LINCS Resource Collection. (Please note that only the parent guides are freely available; the Financial Fitness for Life® materials are available for purchase.) The parent guides contain activities that parents and children can do together to enhance learning personal financial principles and skills. K-5 and 6-12 guides are available in both English and Spanish.

The guides could be incorporated into the adult education classroom, or be provided to adult learners for use with their own children in order to engage the family in discussions and understanding household financial habits. Activities include games, role playing, and guided discussions, with additional resources and links for further information.

The guides are organized into five financial themes matching the instructional units: Earning Income, Saving, Spending, Credit and Money Management (K-5) and The Economic Way of Thinking, Earning Income, Money Management, Saving, Spending and Using Credit (6-12).

If you have used these materials in your classroom or shared them with your learners, please share with the group how the materials were used and received.
