Little resources that make a difference: Independent/Dependent Variables

Dear One and All:

Have you ever found a science resource, activity, or idea that just really helped science make sense?  One that I ran across a while ago is a short PowerPoint that helps describe the difference between independent and dependent variables.  It is from the Shaler Area School District website in Pennsylvania.  It is a 6th grade resource that is definitely adaptable for adult education.  What do you think?

Thanks, Cynthia, for this little gem.  It is definitely useful for adult education.  What has been the impression from some of you who have also viewed the resource?  How might you use this?  I guess it depends.....

Cheers, Susan

It's a great resource and very timely for me. I'm having students do a small science experiment/activity Thursday and these concepts have always been a struggle for my students and for me to explain. I'll be using it on Thursday.

That is great to hear, Paula.  Thanks for checking in, and (after Thursday) please let us know more about how you used this resource with your experiment/activity  and about the response from students!

Cheers, Susan
