Colleagues,
I am researching models -- with evidence that they work -- of:
• Multi-service agencies that have strong adult basic education/ELL and/or family literacy services and a strong antipoverty focus,
• ABE, ASE, or ELL programs that include "mlearning" as part of their services, that is, supplemental use of mobile (cell) plain feature phones or smart phones for supplementary English language learning, math, science, reading, writing, HSE prep, and/or for other kinds of learning, and/or
• ABE, ASE, or ELL programs that are using (or trying out) flipped learning, that is having students watch video instruction before class, usually at home, and then using teacher time in class, not to demonstrate or present, but to work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need help most
If you know of programs, including workplace or workforce development programs, that are good models of one (or more) of those descriptions, could you please email me the name of the program, its web address, the name and contact information of someone to talk with about the program, and why you think the program is a good model of one or more of these descriptions.
Thanks for your help.
