I'm hoping to introduce my students to an app called lingt.com but want some feedback from other professionals working with adult ESL students before I do. So far, I haven't connected with anyone who has used it successfully or otherwise. The app has a very simple dashboard that you use to develop audio and short written assignments (see below). You develop assignment questions by dragging and dropping an element, record or type in a question, and students click on the element to make an audio or written response. Students do not need to create an account to submit the assignment. (I like that feature a lot since it does "suck up" class time to have students create accounts with new apps.) It's free for up to 20 students and 10 assignments. If you have used this application, I'd love to hear from you. I've done a quick test of the app with a colleague and really like what I see so far. All this new technology is great but it sure is a challenge to narrow down which apps to use and not get burdened by it all.

I've never heard of that app, I'll have to give it a try.
This is somewhat related, so I thought I'd mention that Burlington English provides a whole range of materials, at all levels, both for language, lifeand job readiness skills, all for $96/seat (I promise I'm not a rep). As teachers we have full access to every account. I can print out materials, track students off-site learning, and use it for CASAS test preparation. It can be either used as a supplement, or provide your entire curriculum. There is a placement test online, and they can give you a sample account to check it out from your desktop or Promethean board.
