Marketing and recruiting students to adult literacy or adult basic skills programs

Hello Colleagues,

Interested in what Florida has learned about marketing and recruiting students to adult literacy or adult basic skills programs? If so, you might want to read the results of a marketing and recruitment survey done by the Florida Literacy Coalition, called

"If You Build It, They Will Come. Think Again. Results of a Market Research Project on Student Recruitment in Adult Education and Literacy".

Learn about what concerns and apprehensions potential students may have about your program. Find out if  "Adult Basic Education" or "Adult Literacy" attract or repulse potential students. Find out what marketing  catches potential students' attention. Learn what search terms should appear on the first page of internet searches. Find out if potential students have access to social media, what causes them to make a decision and act to enroll in a program, and more.

How do you market your program to potential students? What marketing strategies work for you? Which ones are not particularly effective?
