New Digs

I'm excited to announce that I will be working at KET to create a tech implementation and training plan across Kentucky's 120 counties. The goal of the project is to better prepare the AE field and students for the  2014 GED® test.

My work at Thorn Hill Education Center for the past 9 years and your continued support have helped me come to this position, thank-you. I will add that Thorn Hill is currently ranked 7 out of 120 adult ed programs in Kentucky. I beleive using technology along with other methods have helped us be a Top Ten program. I'm looking forward to taking what I've learned and sharing it with my colleagues throughout the state.

I will be in new digs December 17th. I look forward to continuing reading and participating in posts, as well as seeking your assistance with various topics in times to come. Man, it seems like such a long time ago since I added the post on posting to Google Video.

Congratualtions Barry,

I think your combination of technology skills and understanding of AE and passion for our students will be a huge benefit to KET.

Kathy

Many congratulations on your new post Barry. Here's to your continued success and also many thanks for your work with Aoife and our students here in Galway. We are amazed at where technology is taking us! Our student blog, Galway Voice, has now hit 5000 views, not to mention all the other things they are now doing!

Best wishes, Alison Jones

Congratulations, Barry. Please share what you are doing as you go along. Several states that we work with in Region 1 through the LINCS Regional Professional Development Center are struggling with preparing teachers and students to use technology. I'm particularly interested in the planning process and steps you will be taking.

Kaye,

Will do. I believe that not only will I be sharing outcomes but I will turning to this group to seek help and input as well.  CBT is looming and peers in the field are getting anxious.

I'm excited for the upcoming challenges,

Barry
