New Poll: Have you or your students taken advantage of Everyone On?

Have your students taken advantage of the everyoneon program that provides inexpensive computers and broadband Internet access to low-income families and to any adult learner or teacher?  http://everyoneon.org/adulted

There's a one-question, multiple choice poll for adult basic skills teachers or tutors so we can see if this is a program that they know about and that they and/or their adult learners have used. Even if you have never heard of the program, please complete the poll! It should take less than 30 seconds.

To take the poll, select the Polls tab under the Technology and Learning header, then select the first poll.

Thanks.

The poll participation is sparse at the Technology and Learning CoP today . Could you take the poll now? It should take under 30 seconds, and I believe the results will be important to us all. If you're curious why, just ask. I'll be glad to explain.

Thanks for your help

Susan and others who want directions to the poll:

1. Start at the Technology and Learning front page https://community.lincs.ed.gov/group/technology-and-learning

2. Select the “Polls” tab – the fifth one to the right in the menu row under the “Technology and Learning” header.

3. Select “Do you know adult learners who have obtained a….”  to get to the poll. (On the web page you will see that this is a link, even though it doesn't look like one in this screen capture.)

4. Read through all five options before answering the poll. You can only choose one option. (If it is true for you please choose: “I have obtained a computer or Internet access for myself as a teacher or for my class” even if another option is also true. )

Email me if you still have difficulty and I will try to help.

Colleagues,

Here's a mystery that perhaps you can explain. There have been over 600 views of the Everyone On Poll here. You might expect that perhaps 550 individual Technology and Learning members have seen the poll, and that at least 500 voted? That's what I would have expected; imagine my surprise when I saw that as of today only eleven people have voted. Do you know why? I don't. Please explain.

It's not too late to vote -- the poll is still open, and I am very interested in seeing the responses. Perhaps some of you are too. If you haven't yet, please vote in the poll. To do that, choose the Polls menu item in the Technology and Learning CoP header.

Thanks.
David
