New York Public Library’s new Library HotSpot program

Hi all,

The New York Public Library (NYPL) is offering a limited number of free wireless modems to students in NYPL’s Out-of-School-Time programs and Adult Literacy classes who do not have Internet access at home. The program enables eligible families to “check out” Internet service from the Library for 6 months—absolutely free. Both the device and monthly service fees are fully paid by NYPL. The program is intended to help NYPL students access online resources and continue educational activities at home.  You can see more about this program at http://hotspot.nypl.org/
