I just want to let you know about a webinar coming up next month about the PIAAC health data. As you may know, there were a series of health background questions in the PIAAC survey. The data from these may be able to give us some insight into health behaviors as they relate to adult competencies in literacy, numeracy or problem solving in technology-rich environments.

I am hoping that these findings can encourage us to include some health literacy into our efforts at improving adult skills. Here's an interesting tidbit from the PIAAC results:
The association between literacy skills and health is stronger in the United States than in almost any other country.
Any thoughts on why that might be?
