As Linda O'Connor, Ohio Department of Education (ODE) just shared on April 12th, the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) and ODE have collaborated for the past two years on the creation of a new set of career guidebooks to broaden participation in Construction and Manufacturing pathways in Ohio. I wrote about the approach we took in the creation of these guidebooks in the February 2018 issue of ACTE Techniques Magazine. We plan to expand these guidebooks into other industries, and to customize them for other states. Our goal is to expand the lenses through which students, their families, and the educators who serve them, look at career pathways through Career and Technical Education and pre-apprenticeship/apprenticeship programs. This has been an exciting and innovative collaboration with our partners at ODE!
